Ayurvedic Yoga Instruction

My customized yoga programs run deeper than just physical poses. I combine many styles of yoga (Yin, Restorative, Hatha, Power, Vinyasa, Nidra) and create flows from an Ayurvedic perspective, which takes into account each individual’s unique constitution (Prakruti), what imbalances one is experiencing at the time (Vikruti), as well as natural factors like the time of day and the season of the year.

During our sessions, you will learn to embody Ayurvedic wisdom not only through the physical practice of asana, but also through breath work, mudras, mantras, and guided meditations. These are all designed to cultivate mind-body-spirit connection and create balance and harmony within. You will learn how to recognize physical and emotional imbalances and how they manifest in the body, understand which types of practices nourish and support you, and cultivate presence, awareness, and compassion as you breathe and move with guidance and intuition.

My goal when we work together is to create a customized program that is tailored specifically to your body and your imbalances. Each yoga session is carefully crafted to include specific asana to either ease physical discomfort, increase stamina and flexibility, calm or energize the nervous system, ground the body, calm the mind, or whatever it is you are in need of at that specific time. In essence, I will offer you a combination of body-mind-spirit practices so you can fully embody the experience and take what you learn during the practice off the mat and into your daily life.

How Is A Session Structured?

Each Ayurvedic yoga session will start with a 5-10 minute check-in to discuss any changes in energy, your body or mindset. Understanding which imbalances are expressing themselves that day will help me to ensure that each practice is customized to your specific needs. We will then focus on breath work, mantras and/or mudras before moving on to the physical practice.

1-week Intro Program:

Ideal for beginners to yoga and/or Ayurveda

  • * 2 x 60 minute weekly virtual yoga sessions

4-week Basic Program:

Ideal for any level practitioner

  • * Includes 1 x 15 minute discovery call
  • * 4 x 60 minute weekly virtual yoga sessions
  • * Dosha (mind-body constitution) assessment
  • * Daily Ayurvedic rituals to support your practice
  • * 2-month access to my audio Mindfulness meditations library
  • * Ongoing support and coaching via email

Investment: $240 (HST included)

8-week Intensive Program:

Ideal for yoga instructors or any level practitioner

  • * Includes 1 x 15 minute discovery call
  • * 1 x 30 minute pre-program coaching call
  • * 8 x 60 minute yoga sessions *with recordings
